bad week

h1 Thursday, January 17th, 2008

it’s bad enough it’s the first week of the semester… and I have to start it off by going to organic chem lab, but just the other little stuff can make is suck even more like…

my stupid memory card for my camera had some great pics and all of a sudden it is "corrupted"

my stupid album art glitch is kinda back.

i was having stomach pains and issues at the beggining of the week

it’s insanely cold (for a houstonian)

but all that doesn’t compare to the fact that… alina passed away. and that’s just absolutely fucked up. and i just have to say it somewhere other than reverting back to it inside my head. i’m going to miss her. she wasn’t close to me anymore- but that can be said about most people I’ve ever met- but the fact that I can say I don’t remember ever being angry with her is something i cannot say about everyone i’ve ever met. she was sweet and even though she tended to have that shocked look on her face when i was around- she wasn’t judgemental and even chuckled with me from time to time. idunno. it’s never going to be right that she’s gone.

new hard drive

h1 Thursday, January 3rd, 2008

this christmas my very loving fatty bought me a 111 gb hard drive… and somehow I only have about 70 gb left. BUT that is way better than constantly being told that I’m running out of hard drive space…

so far I think everything transferred over.

i had a few problems with getting WMP 11 being nice to me when syncing to my zen- but in the end I think everything worked out… except now I have an empty playlist that won’t delete no matter what I do. i even used itunes to properly sort my music folder- so now my music folder is better than ever and album art is actually syncing to my zen properly.

newer photos are unsorted, older photos are untagged, and photos from two different cameras (different file naming techniques) are mixed in together. i don’t know when I’m ever going to want to mess with that. maybe this summer.

i got back most of my firefox extentions, miranda and loved settings, snagit features, video codecs, office 07 (mostly wanted outlook to sync with palm), and windows live writer (to blog easier :D)- so I’m a pretty happy camper.

all of this would not have been possible without the love, help, patience, and knowledge of Gary, so I thank him.

now I can download endlessly… or until 70 gigs ends up too little. XD
